Senegal will make history in November, when it becomes the first African nation ever to host an official Olympic event. Delayed from the original 2022 date due to COVID, the 2026 Youth Olympic Games Dakar will run from 31 October to 13 November 2026.

Featuring a record 63 nations, the triathlon events take place on and around the beautiful Saly Beach, with the men’s race on 5 November and the women’s on 6 November. Held as always over the sprint distance, it’s a 750m swim, 20km bike and 5km run that will again decide our new Youth Olympic Champions and establish a new era of ones-to-watch in our sport.
