Policy for Acceptance of Overseas Athletes and Related Personnel

Acceptance of entrants will be made in accordance with the Japanese government’s border measures in 2022 Miyazaki WTC

(1) Basic Policy
- From October 11, the grouping of countries/regions into three categories of red, blue, and yellow will no longer be used in the border measures.
- Resumption of VISA exemption arrangements to countries/regions concerned
- All visitors to Japan must have proof of having received 3 doses of valid vaccinations or negative
PCR test results within 72 hours prior to departure. - All athletes and related personnel who
have entered Japan may train and engage in activities according to their own plans.
- During your stay, please be considerate of Miyazaki citizens and take basic infection control
measures (wearing masks, social distancing, etc.).

(2) Visa - Visitors from VISA-exempt countries do not need a VISA.

- Visa is required for those who are not from countries with visa exemption arrangements.
- For entrants without visa exemption, special arrangements will be made for visa issuance
(according to the applications already submitted; they will be able to receive their visas after October 10).

(3) Period of stay
- Entrants from countries with visa exemption arrangement: Arrival and departure dates are to be determined by the applicant
- Entrants with visas: October 23 - 31 (visas can be issued for this period only)

(4) Accommodation and transportation arrangements
- The LOC has been preparing to receive participants from overseas under the entry restrictions based on the border measures imposed by the Japanese government. Accommodations and transportation for the participants have already been secured.
Although it is possible to make your own arrangements, we ask for your understanding and cooperation on the following matters.

supply).

- Transportation support If the reservation for accommodations are made through the LOC, round-trip transportation between Miyazaki airport and the hotel will be provided.
