PRE-EVENT COVID 19 SCREENING -
ALL participants - athletes and coaches who are coming to this event and entered through the triathlon.org Entries system must refer to https://www.triathlon.org/pre_event_covid_19_screening_guide and follow the necessary instruction to access your account and submit the required documentation

** No requirement for quarantine on entry to Zimbabwe for this event. Please also refer to the CONCEPT PAPER listed under DOCUMENTS below.
** TRAVEL - Early arrivals in Harare on Wednesday 22nd September can be planned - overnight stay in Harare will be necessary - costs for Athlete account - Contact LOC before making flight bookings

SWIM -
Water Temperature - expect 20 degrees
Laps - Sprint - 1 x 750m lap
Start Mechanism - Deep water
Conditions - Lake - clean, disease and animal free

BIKE -
Laps - Sprint - 3 x 6.6km laps - hilly and technical. No requirement for gear/cassette changes. 16% gradient. Road closures.

RUN -
Laps - Sprint - 2 x 2.5km laps - hilly, 19% gradient, 90% pavement, 10% grass

COVID 19 PROTOCOLS - please refer to the Concept Paper Document and Athlete Guide Document for more information -
A PCR Test should be carried out 48 hours prior to travel - check with your airline for specific requirements
Pre-Event screening must by submitted via the WT system by each individual
PPE/Medical Certificate must be submitted by each individual
A PCR Test or antigen test must be done by every athlete on site at the race venue Friday 24th September (check schedule)
Daily screening will be carried out for every participant, coach and official
COMPULSORY - Every athlete/coach/official will have to have a PCR test before travelling back to their home countries (check Athlete Guide for schedule). This will be done at the host hotel on Sunday 26th September - Budget cost USD 60 per person
