Auckland is the closest international airport and there are direct flights to New Plymouth from there.
INFORMATION
..For all athletes / officials flying to New Zealand for the BG ITU New
Plymouth World Cup Triathlon 12 November 2006.

..After clearing Immigration and Customs , re - check your bags / bikes at the DOMESTIC TRANSFER DESK , it is located to your left as you enter the Arrivals area… look for Mc Donalds is too left down that hall way..

..If your flight is within the hour you will be best advised to go with all
of your luggage to the DOMESTIC TERMINAL ..

..Board the complimentary bus outside the International Terminal for
transfer to Domestic Terminal.
Alternatively , follow the well - marked walkway which will take
approximately 10 minutes to walk too..

..Then check in at any of the Air New Zealand counters..advise them you are
connecting from a International flight to domestic to New Plymouth and are
competing in the BG ITU New Plymouth World Cup Triathlon . Your bike is priority and you may be advised that it may not be on that flight.

..If Air NZ checkin require an address to deliver too…if in doubt who or

Auckland flights are the new Bombardier Q300 and seat 50 people ...some
flights may be full and luggage space may see a delay in getting your bike
on the flight you are booked on..We have worked in with Air NZ and they will
do all they can too make sure all luggage / bikes make flights..
